Appealing teachers and student community to boycott India’s Independence Day function completely, Dukhtaran-e-Millat president Syedah Aasiya Andrabi Wednesday alleged that the government machinery is forcing employees and students to attend the India’s I-Day functions across Kashmir. In a statement to CNS Aasiya Andrabi said that while India is celebrating its freedom, “it has kept us hostage and is killing our children for seeking the same.”While paying glowing tributes to the Mujahideen martyred in Ratnipora Pulwama, Aasiya Andrabi said that, “the martyrs are the heroes of this nation whose sacrifices are huge and sacred.” She said that the nation is losing its treasure in shape of the innocent boys who sacrifice their youth for the freedom that has been snatched by India.

“India and its forces should be ashamed of having used helicopters to fight two poorly armed children. One wants to laugh aloud to see the police and army officers claiming victory after a 20 hour long battle with two poorly armed children, in fact winners are our children who dare world’s biggest army and fail its huge weaponry” she said and added that the bravery shown by Showkat and Gulzar should be a matter of pride for a slave nation like Kashmir. “There is a lesson, in the bravery shown by these boys, for India that Kashmiri’s have decided to snatch the freedom from India, may be it takes time but we are neither terrified not fatigued ,we will keep on chasing Indians out of Jammu Kashmir” she said and expressed a deep pain for the young boys getting killed.

“As a mother I really find it difficult to see my children getting killed daily, I fall short of words to pay tributes to them, the world seems to be dead or stone hearted otherwise it should pressurize India to stop the brutalities and end the occupation of our land so that our children are not forced to fight a huge but coward army with little weapons”.

She paid rich tributes to Bilal Ahmad who was killed in BSF firing at Padgampora Pulwama during a protest march.Making a mention of India’s Independence Day celebrations Dukhtaran-e-Millat president said, “the arrogant Indians are at one hand celebrating their freedom and at the other hand have kept us hostage and are killing our children for seeking the freedom. This is the height of India’s hypocrisy” she said and added that all those who participate in 15th August celebrations with Indians will find it difficult to face the martyrs on the Day of Judgment. “How can anybody celebrate India’s freedom or send children to the celebrating venues when our own freedom has been snatched and we are getting killed,”

Putting a question to those who intend to participate may be for greed of money or other perks, Aasiya Andrabi said “how can you face those martyrs on the day of judgment who sacrificed their today for your better tomorrow”. She cautioned the government machinery not to compel the students, teachers and other government employees to participate in the 15th August celebrations. “We have reports that the government is forcing the employees including teachers and especially the students to participate in the 15th August functions with the intention to deceive the world by portraying as if Kashmiri’s consider India to be its country and its freedom Day of its own” the statement reads.
