Minister of State for Power Development, Housing and Industries and Commerce, Muhammad Ashraf Mir, has called upon the medicos and para-medicos to work with  missionary spirit for providing all possible Medicare facilities to people, especially those living in rural and kandi areas of the State.

Chairing the Rogi Kalyan Simiti of Primary Health Centres (PHCs) Khanmoh, Panthachowk and Mini Maternity Centre Pandrathan here today, the Minister said development of health sector was the priority of the government. He directed the hospital managements to adhere to the norms to ensure up gradation of health infrastructure well in time in these health institutions.Chief Medical Officer Srinagar and other concerned members of RKS were present in the meeting.The Minister stressed the fund allocation under the flagship programmes like NRHM, RKS and other state plans should be utilized judiciously for up gradation of health care facilities in the Hospitals.

The Minister said that government endeavours to provide modernized diagnostic equipments besides upgraded infrastructure to the health institution across the State, adding that PHCs in Sonwar constituency are being also upgraded with high tech diagnostic equipments for convenience of the patients.

The Minister asked the Power Development Department to formulate a DPR for separate transmission line for providing uninterrupted power supply to PHC Khanmoh. He said in this regard funds would be sanctioned from the Government.The Minister instructed the concerned for proper sanitation in and around the hospitals besides repairs and renovation of lanes and drains.

The meeting discussed several issues of these health institutions and appropriate decisions were taken for upgradation of healthcare facilities in these health institutions.The Minister also visited health Centers at Balhama and Panthachowk and took stock of their functioning.Meanwhile, the Minister inspected macadamization work of Sempora- Balhama – Wuyan road. He directed the concerned engineers to ensure the quality of macadamization of the road.The Minister visited several villages of the constituency and took stock of the people’s problems. He directed the PDD to install transformer at Tullbagh. He also instructed the concerned Engineers for taking immediate steps for constructing drains along the road from Zewan to Khanmoh.The Minister assured the people of the area that all their developmental needs would be mitigated well in time.
