A meeting of the Committee on Petitions under the chairmanship of Sham Lal Chowdhery was held in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat here today.The meeting was attended by legislators ,Mtr. Shamima Firdous, Mr. Altaf Ahmed Wani, Mr.Ranbir Singh Pathania, Mr. Bashir Ahmed Dar, Mr.Javaid Hassan Beigh, Mr.Abid Hussain Ansari besides Commissioner Secretary, PHE, I&FC and Chief Engineer. Discussion was held on a representation by Mohammad Shafi Tantray father of Mr. Mohammad Sahil R/o Khawaja Bagh of Baramulla regarding the compassionate appointment in Irrigation Department.The Committee advised Commissioner Secretary to appoint Mr. Mohammad Shafi Tantray father of deceased Mr. Mohammad Sahil who died in the sump in Baramulla district. The Committee gave three months time to the concerned department to appoint the above mentioned person.
