The Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kupwara, Choudhary Sikandar-e-Azam conducted National Lok Adalats in district Court Complex Kupwara.346 cases were taken up for hearing, out of which 240 cases were settled amicably during the National Lok Adalat and Rs. 10.44 lakhs were realized as fine/compensation from the parties in tax matters, bank disputes, motor accident cases, finance related disputes. For this purpose, four benches were constituted which include Additional District and Sessions Judge Handwara, Chief Judicial Magistrate Handwara, Sub Judge Kupwara and Munsiff Sogam with other members of the judiciary to settle these cases.The members from Bar Association, litigants and witnesses were present in the National Lok Adalat.
