JKPCC Chief G A Mir Sunday said Congress won’t allow any sort of discriminatory treatment to any class of people based on religion region or class. While addressing a public meeting at Haritar, Sangrama in Baramulla, he cautioned the people against the dangerous politics of exploitation on the basis of religion region or any other class which is bound to bring disunity amongst the people and pose threat to the integrity of the state.Accusing the present coalition partners of exploiting the religious, regional and other factors for the sake of coming to power, Mir said, “Congress always respected the urges and aspirations of regions and different sections of Society in order to strengthen the bounds of unity and integrity of the state.”The JK PCC Chief said that Congress won’t allow any kind of discrimination against any section of the society or class by the present dispensation. “Congress has always worked about strengthening the people and never allowed anyone to weaken democratic institutions of the country or State. Congress being a constructive opposition has always and would always work for safeguarding the interests of the people and has remained steadfast in serving the masses to it’s best and will keep on doing so for better future of the people of the State.

”While launching a scathing attack on PDP BJP coalition over ‘discrimination’ by them against the people at various levels in the state aiming to keep themselves on forefront in order to gain political mileage, JK PCC Chief said, “I tell PDP-BJP coalition that people of the State are mature enough and can well differentiate between positive and negative things. Congress Party fully represents aspirations of all the three regions of the state in a true sense, it (Congress) is not like PDP or BJP who are confined to particular regions, Congress is a vibrant situation in all the three regions, the policies and programmes of the party with regard to equal development of all three regions and people would remain unshakable and unchanged.”Mir claimed that prevailing chaos in the state was the creation of PDP BJP coalition.

“People of the state particularly youth feel alienated due to inapt decisions and wrong policies of the PDP BJP govt. Congress being a constructive opposition would fight with the Govt over people’s issues for their resolution and is fully committed about striving hard for better future of the youth and equal development of all the three regions of the State,” he added.Referring to the ‘divisive vote bank politics’ of PDP-BJP, he hit out at PDP BJP over indulging in politics of “discrimination, communalism and regionalism.”Those who addressed the gathering included MLA Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, MLC Gulam Nabi Monga, MLA G. M. Saroori Vice Presidents of JK PCC, spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, General Secretary Shoiab Nabi Lone, District Presidents Aftab Ahmad Beigh, Altaf Malik, Block Presidents and other prominent leaders of the District.
