Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that State Government has chalked out a comprehensive plan to revive the industrial focal point at historical town Sri Goindwal Sahib and state has already allotted land to Nerolac Paints and Indian Oil  Corporation to set up their units there.Talking to media persons at information centre here alongwith the Union Minister Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal after paying obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib, Deputy Chief Minister said under the industrial revival plan after the setting up of Thermal Plant at Goindwal Sahib, Punjab Government would allocate more industrial plots to industrial giants.

Terming the second investors summit a platform the showcase the investment opportunities in the state offering maximum incentives across the nation, Mr Badal said Punjab Government has received huge response not only from industrial giants in India but also from countries like France, Poland, Hungry and Taiwan. Besides that during the investment promotion tour to Bangalore and Thriuvananthapuram, IT giants Infosys has also  announced to start the construction of its largest campus with capacity of 25,000 employees from next month. He also said that Volvo would also set up a production unit in the state and a team to identify the suitable location would arrive in November this.

Replying to a question about the rallies organized by former chief minister Captain Amrinder Singh, Mr. Badal said that “he has only a single agenda to grab the captaincy of Punjab congress from Partap Singh Bajwa”, adding he said both captain and Bajwa were indulged in personal battle for their political survival and they have nothing to do with the Punjab.The Deputy Chief Minister also made it clear that law will take its own course in a case registered against PA to BJP president Mr. Kamal Sharma and there would be zero tolerance for the culprits. He also clarified that the case has nothing to do with Mr. Kamal Sharma but belongs to his personal assistant.Giving details of Swachh Punjab campaign Mr Badal said that after launching this drive at SAS Nagar, cleanness of holy city Amritsar would also be with mechanized cleanliness system besides initiating the beautification of Hall Gate to Town Hall and Town Hall to Sri Darbar Sahib.

On the issue of pre mature release of Sikh prisoners, Deputy CM said the apex court had banned the release of any prisoners before completion of their conviction term and states were bound to implement the verdict of Supreme Court. He said the Punjab Government had already taken all possible steps to facilitate the release of Sikh prisoners on parole. He also added that it was the only Government led by Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal who has constructed memorials like Virast-E-Khalsa and Jang-E-Azadi to maintain and propagate culture and heritage.

Rebuffing the allegations of Captain Amrinder Singh, the Deputy Chief Minister said during his tenure as a chief minister from 2002-07, the congress CM has registered cases against the Badal family which all were rejected by the courts as there was no truth behind false cases.Later Mr. Badal, Union Minister Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Revenue Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia visited at the residence of CPS Mr. Amarpal Singh Boni Ajnala at Ranjit Avenue and announced that more funds would be released for the development of assembly constituencies falling under border area.Prominent among those present on the occasion included MLA Manjit Singh Manna, DC Ravi Bhagat and Commissioner Police Jatinder Singh Aulakh.
