Quality medical care, health checkups and free medicines were provided to approx 500 people and 90 animals at the doorsteps of the rural population. Number of people who required further diagnosis/ specialized treatments were also referred to hospitals for further treatment. A lecture was conducted during the camp by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion on ill effects of Drug abuse, Alcohol and Smoking with an aim to create awareness amongst locals especially the youth. Doctors also guided the Awaam on preventive methods to avoid lifestyle diseases,” a defence spokesman said in a statement.
