Saying that peace is imperative for development and prosperity of any society, more so for Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for CA&PD & Tribal Affairs, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today said that the present coalition government is seized of its responsibilities and hopes people have attached with it. He asked people to cooperate with the government in bringing about the desired change and results on the ground.Addressing a public gathering here today, the Minister, who is also the chairman District Development Board, Kupwara, said the people of the State have gone through a multitude of problems during the last years adding that it was Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s earlier stint as state’s Chief Minister which not only healed the  bruises of people by restoring peace and dignity and helped in creating a semblance of peaceful atmosphere on borders between India and Pakistan but the bold decisions created conducive atmosphere for economic activities in the state and provided much needed breather to people here.

Ch. Zulfkar said development of the State and bringing succor to its people was the driving force for PDP and BJP to form Government in the State. He said the developmental needs of the people would be given a push by the present government and appealed people to extend their cooperation to it.Referring to the developmental scenario of Kupwara, the Minister saidthat the district requires focused and special attention to make it at par with other developed districts of the state. He appealed people to have confidence in the present coalition government led by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed which is making every effort to make this state a prosperous and peaceful one. He said previous government has left behind enormous liabilities due to unplanned development which need to be corrected by joint efforts of government and people.

Seeking cooperation from people for taking forward developmental agenda of present government, the Minister urged them to put forth their development requirements and issues through their MLAs and Panchayati Raj representatives.
