Minister for Labour, Planning and Development Ajay Sadhotra today spelled out initiatives taken for the upliftment of work force and exhorted upon the agencies engaged in implementation of various welfare schemes to redouble their efforts and ensure that optimal benefits reach the targeted segment.During his visit to the model hospital, set up by the Employees State Insurance Corporation(ESIC) in the Industrial Area at Bari Brahmana the Minister discussed with medics the facilities available for labourers and their families and hoped that they will work with devotion and missionary spirit. The Minister was accompanied by the Commissioner Secretary Labour  and Employment,  Mr. B. A. Runiyal and the Labour Commissioner Mrs. Nirmal Sharma. They apprised the Minister about various schemes in vogue for the welfare of working class.During his interaction with patients, he was apprised about the paucity of the staff and requested to take immediate measures for improving the infrastructural facilities and ensuring medicines in the ESIC Model Hospital. He said these will be looked into earnestly for appropriate remedial measures. Mr Sadhotra also stressed the need for monitoring the working of the hospitals set up and said focused attention should be paid to upgrading the diagnostic facilities and ensuring medicines for the patients.
