There will be  similar AIIMS for both Jammu as well as in Kashmir  with equal provisions of  infrastructure, funds,  faculty, paramedical staff and facilities , Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings Ch Lal Singh said this while addressing a large number of people at a Public Grievances Redressal Camp held at Kathua, here today.He said the decision taken by the union government in consultation with State Government is quite clear and was taken keeping in mind the aspirations and necessities of both the regions.He said that process for establishment of AIIMS in Jammu and Srinagar will commence simultaneously with equal provision of funds i.e. to the tune of Rs 1500 crore for each. The process for identifying land for both the premier health institutions will be taken up soon, he said.

During the grievances camp, the people from various tehsils of district Kathua projected their grievances/demands pertaining to drinking water supply, medicare, shortage of rations, road connectivity, electricity   etc. The Minister listened to the grievances of the people patiently and assured that their problems will be mitigated on top priority.While addressing a large gathering Ch. Lal Singh said provision for better healthcare, education, PHE and road connectivity are the priority sectors of the Government, adding that Government is paying focused attention to upgrade the same. He sought people's cooperation in implementing all Government schemes so that benefits of such schemes reach to the needy.

Health Minister said that state Government is fully aware of the genuine problems of the people and is committed to provide improved basic amenities to them like road connectivity, healthcare, safe drinking water, un-interrupted power supply and better education.Among others Mission Director NRHM Dr. Yash Pal Sharma Ex-MLA Basholi Mrs. Kanta Andotra and large number of people.
