A farmer awareness camp under Farmer Jagriti Campaign of Bhaderwah block was organized at Ghati More Bhalra Zone Bhalra in which Sarpanchs, Panchs and farmers participated.A.E.O Bhalra Zone welcomed the participants while District Agriculture (Ext.) Officer Doda gave an elaborate overview of various schemes launched by Agriculture Department and urged the farming community to avail benefits under these schemes. Farmers were also advised to use timely and balanced dose of fertilizers, get tested their soil before sowing, use well-decomposed manure and use hybrid/ high yielding varieties for maximum production. They were also advised to adopt farm mechanization scheme, so that different farm operations can be done more efficiently.The farmers appealed the department to organize such type of awareness camp at Panchayat level in future. They also demanded construction of water harvesting tank, vermin compost unit and Gober Gas Plant at Panchayat level.
