Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly on Saturday said the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should not have a problem with S. Sreesanth making a comeback, now that the bowler has been cleared of all spot fixing charges.A Delhi court on Saturday dropped charges against Sreesanth and 35 other accused in the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL) spot fixing and betting case which also includes the likes of off-spinner Ajit Chandila and left-arm tweaker Ankeet Chavan."The court has taken away whatever charges that was on him (Sreesanth) so I do not think the BCCI will have problems now (in letting Sreesanth make a comeback). But anyway it is up to the board now to decide," Ganguly said at the Cricket Association of Bengal's (CAB) annual prize distribution function.

Sreesanth and Chavan are currently serving a life ban imposed on them by BCCI.However, the Indian cricket board, just after the decision of the court, said: "Any disciplinary proceeding or decision taken by the BCCI is independent to any criminal proceeding and has no bearing. The decisions of the BCCI, based on its independent disciplinary action, shall remain unaltered."Ganguly chose to refrain from commenting on the legal order."It is a legal issue. I won't be able to comment on this," said the former left-handed batsman adding that the verdict was good news for the players. "It is very good for the players. The court has done whatever it felt right."
