MLA Kulgam, M.Y. Tarigami today chaired a meeting of District officers at Dak Banglow Kulgam.District Development Commissioner Kulgam besides ADDC, ADC, SEs, XENs and other officers attended the meeting.It was given out in the meeting that various roads of the district will be macadamized in coming days besides making necessary repairs of other roads, water supply schemes besides augmenting the existing ones will also be taken up during the current financial year.

Tarigami urged the Chief Education Officer to mobilize all available resources for providing quality education in Government educational institutions besides providing infrastructure and latrine facilities to all institutions envisaged under centrally sponsored  Swach Bharat Mission.

Tarigami also urged upon the R&B engineers to intensify the pace of work on taken up projects so that the targets are fulfilled within stipulated time. He further urged irrigation & flood control officers to complete the dredging & establishing of protection bunds on “Vaishoo” & other rivers of the district to avert any flood threat in near future.He urged upon CAPD officers to ensure the routine supply of ration in the district especially in hilly areas. Tarigami said that he has projected the demand for establishment of maternity hospital at Kulgam during board meeting held recently. He also urged upon the municipalities to go for special cleanliness drive in the towns of the District so that the debris of September 2014 and recent floods is cleared.Mr. Tarigami also urged the concerned to immediately establish a public convenience center (latrine point) at Loru-Kulgam Bus stand.
