At least 10 people were killed and over 20 others injured in an explosion that occurred in Turkey's Sanliurfa province, a media report said. The blast took place in Suruc district near the Iraq border. According to sources, at least 300 members of the Federation of Socialist Youth Associations were staying at the Amara Culture Centre as part of a summer expedition to help rebuild Kobane, which lies directly across the border from Suruc district, Hurriyet Daily News reported."It is hard to describe it with words. Blood donations are urgently needed," an eyewitness said.

The centre, which is run by the Suruc municipality under the control of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), frequently hosts visiting journalists and volunteers who work with refugees from Kobane."It's a big massacre. The probability of a suicide bomber is very high," Leyla Guven, a HDP official, said. "Suspect information has been provided related to the number of deaths. Some say that everyone in the group died."The toll was likely to increase, Guven said.
