The Revenue and Information and Public Relations Department Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today lased on the vice-president of Congress Rahul Gandhi stating that Rahul’s so-called padyatra was a mere antic to get himself in limelight and the Congress was today decimated to just handful of seats as Rahul never bothered about common man during UPA government’s tenure.Mr Majithia said this while distributing Rs 1 cr grants for the development of half a dozen villages in Majitha constituency and laid foundation stones of various developmental works. While talking to the media persons he took a dig on Rahul saying that while the latter could walk 4 kms, but the person who has remained “missing” for over 67 to 68 days cannot work for the upliftment of the common man. Mr Majithia said that had Rahul Gandhi shown his sincerity towards the issues of poor, farmers and common man during UPA government’s tenure, Congress would not have hit the rock bottom and neither its leadership would have faced the endless challenges its mired in today.

Commenting on the activities of former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Mr Majithia said that Captain’s only concentration and concerted efforts were to dislodge Pratap Singh Bajwa from his post of state Congress president and his rallies were miles away from the causes of people of Punjab.

Mr Majithia said that two parliamentarians of Aam AadmiParty (AAP) have termed the Delhi CM Arving Kejriwal as dictator.

The Delhi government is working opposite to its election promises. The AAP’s leaders are embroiled in controversies of fake degrees, forced land possession and other such cases. All this is happening when the inflation is at its peak in Delhi and instead of working for the people of Delhi, the elected representatives of AAP were busy fighting amongst themselves Mr Majithia gave Rs 16 lacs for works at village Bhoya, Rs 28 for works at Bulara, Rs 9 lacs for Gadarjada, Rs 22 lacs for village Taharpur and village Fattu Feela was given Rs 26 lacs grants. He also laid foundation stone of laying cemented roads, concrete streets and dozens of other projects.Addressing a large gathering of villagers Mr Majithia said that the discrepancies in cards of blue cards holders have been resolved and very soon people will start getting ration under atta dal scheme. He said that from the year 2007 till today he has always worked for all round development of Majitha constituency and has made it a model constituency in the state.

He added that during Congress regime the area that was backward in terms of development is galloping towards new horizons today. He added that till 2017 no dera will have a kuchca road leading to it. He also added that every dera of the constituency would be given 24 hours uninterrupted power supply for which Rs 9 cr are being spent. He said that while Congress did scrambled to get enough power to light a single bulb, the CM Parkash Singh Badal led Punjab government has set up three thermal power plants and was also using the solar power energy creating new records in producing clean power.Majithia was accorded warm welcome at different villages he visited today.
