BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday launched the party's high-tech 'Parivartan Rath' campaign for the upcoming Bihar assembly polls by flagging off 160 GPS-fitted 'chariots' here. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president, known for his poll management and innovative strategy to counter rivals, has named the high tech chariots 'Parivartan Raths' to send out a political message that "people in all 243 Bihar assembly seats want change".These chariots are meant to reach out to people in villages across Bihar, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's July 25 rally in Muzaffarpur."These 'Parivartan Raths' will reach out to people in every village with a message to provide clean water, electricity, roads, education, health and jobs to them if the NDA was voted to power in the upcoming Bihar polls under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Shah said in an address delivered minutes ahead of the flagging off of the chariots. The party plans to hold 100,000 meetings in 100 days ahead of the elections.

Shah said the BJP's focus is clear -- mobilise people for a change in Bihar and free them from the 'jungle raj' of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who joined hands with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad.Shah mainly attacked Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad during his over half-an-hour speech here."One high-tech rath of the party will visit at least five villages in a day."The BJP will reach out to 800 villages across the state to counter the propaganda by the new combine of Janata Dal-U, RJD, Congress and National Congress Party," BJP state president Mangal Pandey said.Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi said that people were fed up with Nitish Kumar's bad governance and the deteriorating law and order situation."BJP's raths would expose the failures of the Nitish Kumar government," he said.He said the high-tech raths would also show a video film in Hindi, depicting the misrule and bad governance during the 15 years of the Lalu-Rabri rule in Bihar."Besides, the BJP will inform people with the help of film about the total failure of the Nitish Kumar government after he ended his alliance with us," he said.
