MLA Langate and Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) President Engineer Rashid has lambasted the Coalition government of PDP and BJP for insulting the historic martyrs of 13 July 1931.In a statement, Rashid said, “BJP by not attending the tribute function of July 13 1931 martyrs at Naqashband Sahib Srinagar and in quiet shameful manner not recognizing these martyrs has not only insulted these martyrs but their great mission to end dictatorial oppressive regime.”
“If PDP has any semblance of Conscience left it should immediately end coalition with BJP and shun power lust and not act as shied and equal partner in these fascist designs of BJP. This venomous attitude shows true communal colours of BJP as to what extent it is anti-Kashmir and anti-Muslim in nature,” he said.Rashid also stressed on the need to rename those institutes which have been named after ‘tyrannical’ Mahrajas stating that a person cannot be hero and villain in same paradigm.
