Minister for Public Health Engineering (PHE) Irrigation and Flood Control Sukhnandan Kumar Choudhary today visited Baltal base camp and took stock of the facilities being provided to the yatries there. The Minister visited Domail Camp also.The Minister was briefed that the yatra which commenced from July 02, is going on smoothly via Baltal route. He was informed that about 1, 21,000 yatries have paid obeisance at the Holy Cave till today.While visiting the Camp Hospital at Baltal, the Minister instructed the concerned authorities to ensure presence of staff round the clock besides keeping medicines including life saving drugs available in the Hospital. He directed them to keep the ambulances available also to meet the exigencies in case of any eventuality.

The Minister went round the camp and took stock of ration, water supply, electricity facilities etc. He directed the authorities of PHE to ensure adequate drinking water in and around the camp. He also directed the authorities of Forest Department to provide sufficient quantity of firewood to the Langars.The Minister directed the authorities of PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the base camp Baltal round the clock. He directed the officers for keeping gen sets available so that devotees do not face any inconvenience.Mr. Sukhnandan interacted with the yatries and enquired from them about the facilities put in place by the administration.
