With the joining of Member of Parliament & J&K BJP Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna to the “Refugee Adhikaar Yatra”, the party leaders received boost and they covered Rah-Sahyot, Chowki Choura, Dhanna, Dhano, Ambi, Jalara, Dori Dager, Jagwan, Kharah, Pallanwala, Khour, Jourian areas of Akhnoor and Khour constituencies before their night halt at Akhnoor town. Led by BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma, it is being accompanied by State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga, State General Secretary & Yatra Incharge Rajiv Jasrotia, BJP State Cells Incharge Sat Sharma (C.A), Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi, State Publicity Secretary Aseem Gupta and BJYM State President Ravinder Raina.Avinash Rai Khanna, while addressing a gathering at Dori Dager, said that our country became independent in 1947 and we claim to be the world’s largest democracy but unfortunately the fruits and benefits enjoyed by the citizens in other parts of the country under democracy are still a dream for the helpless West Pakistan, PoK and other refugees residing in different areas of Jammu & Kashmir, with majority of them in Jammu province.
Condemning yestersay's serial blasts in Patna, Khanna said that both Congress-led UPA and Nitish led Bihar government are responsible for it. He said that the Hunkar Rally was announced many months ago and the preparations were going on for the last few weeks still no effective steps were taken for the security. He said that the UPA is now in fear of losing power and has turned to be puzzled with its leaders making funny and irrelevant utterances in frustration and hence it has come to be called "Ulta Pulta Alliance". He said that the time has come when the people should get united to get rid of the parties like Congress and its allies to make way for the BJP and its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. He appealed the people to use the voting day wisely and give BJP to serve them for complete 5 years.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that BJP is not only for vote bank politics but a mission with the prime motive of serving the nation and its people. Whenever we see any community, gender or region is discriminated, neglected or treated otherwise, we adopt every democratic mean to agitate and highlight the same and many a times our leaders are being put behind the bars. We are committed to the cause of the refugees and the yatra is testimony to the same. Taking a dig at the UPA, he said that the honour of the nation, value of the rupee and morale of the security forces and nationalist people have gone down while price rise, corruption and scams are going up, which is its biggest contribution to the people. He said that the extent of concern of state and the central government for the poor people can be well judged from the fact that the genuine people are deprived of the benefits of BPL, IAY, MNREGA schemes while the well off people with links with the Congress and NC minister and leaders are enjoying the loaves of these welfare schemes.Rajiv Jasrotia said that the current Refugees Adhikaar Yatra is part of the series of programmes being undertaken by the party during the past over 60 years to highlight the plight of the refugees in the state and draw the attention of the government towards them.Antodya Yojana Cell Convenor Kuldeep Sharma, Senior leader Chaman Lal Kanathia, Akhnoor District President Sukhdev Singh, Ashok Sharma, Baldev Raj Dogra, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Rajiv Dutta, Yashpal Sharma, Ashish Sareen, Munish Raja, Bawa Parshotam, Vijay Sharma, Vikram Randhawa, Suraj Singh, Jagdish Bhagat and Manmohan Singh also accompanied the yatra.
