Minister for Finance, Labour, Employment & Culture, Dr Haseeb Drabu has underscored the need for adequate and professional management of the State’s finances.Addressing One-day convention on “Role of Funds Organization in Internal Resource Generation” organized by the Funds Organization here today, the Minister said the government would give focused attention to the organization so that its working improves which would in turn result in ensuring better management of the state’s finances.Director General Funds, Ms Pushpa Devi, Director General Accounts & Treasuries, Mr. Altaf Hussain Mirza and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
“We will give focused attention to the Funds Organization and other wings of the Finance Department for better management of the overall finances so that there is a marked improvement in the financial scenario of the state”, Dr Drabu said.The Minister said that the government has undertaken comprehensive measures for ensuring the resource management so that JK becomes economically vibrant and not dependent on the central resources.Director General Funds, Ms. Pushpa Devi also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the working of the organization and also the problems being faced by the employees of the organization.
