IRP 1st Battalion celebrates Police Raising Day

The IRP 1st Battalion today organized a function to celebrate the raising day of Police here at Battalion Headquarters.

Cultural and sports activities were part of today’s functions in which officials as well as jawans participated.Commandant IRP 1st Battalian-Tej Ram Katoch - the chief guest, said Jammu and Kashmir Police by dint of hard work and devotion has emerged as an elite force in the country and is capable of handling any situation.He enjoined upon all the officers and officials to work with zeal & dedication to uphold the rule of law under all circumstances and serve the people with dedication and sincerity.SP IRP 1st Battalion-HK Nazar, SP IRP 1st Battalion-Ravi Gupta, Dy SP- Imtiaz Ahmad and a large number of officials and   jawans of the Battalion attended the function.

During the function, various speakers threw light on the achievements of police since its inception in the state,   particularly during last year floods.The chief guest and other invitees lauded the performance of the participants in the cultural programme.The battalion is going to hold series of activities for the benefit of the society at large by throughout the week such as meeting members of societies while giving them tips on safety, holding seminars on public interests.On this occasion rich tributes were also paid to the martyrs and   well wishes to their families.
