Union Home minister reviews security arrangements for Amarnath yatra

Ahead of Annual Amarnath Yatra starting from July 2, Union Home minister Raj Nath Singh Wednesday chaired a high level meeting with the top officials of the security agencies.One of the top officials of MHA wished anonymity told KNS over phone from New Delhi that the meeting was chaired by Union Home minster Raj Nath Singh at New Delhi, besides the top officials of Central reserve Police force, Border Security Force (BSF) and other senior officers of intelligences Army and other forces.He said that Home Minister stressing on the need for close coordination among different departments to ensure a successful yatra scheduled to commence on July 2.

 “During the meeting, the Home minister sought reports from the participants about the security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra and overall security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said that senior officials representing different security agencies briefed the meeting about the required steps to be taken to maintain law and order and ensure the security Plan for the peaceful Amarnath Yatra,” he added.He further said that that the union home minister also stressed upon better coordination among all sister agencies and the civil administration. “To foil any attempt by troublemakers to disrupt peaceful atmosphere, close liaison should be maintained at every level and the officers supervising different components should be briefed accordingly,” he said.
