To discuss various issues related to accounts, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Mian Altaf Ahmad here today.Legislators, Farooq Ahmad Indrabi, Abdul Rashid Dar, Shah Mohammad Tantray, M Y Tarigami and Mohammad Khalil Bandh participated in the meeting.The Committee decided to look into the accounts of Home, Irrigation and Flood Control and Power Development Departments in a phased manner. It was decided that the accounts of Home Department would be examined and checked on 1 June 2015 by the Committee.The Chairman directed the concerned officers of Assembly Secretariat to work with dedication and pursue the Action Taken Reports of the pending Government assurances on public accounts given by the various Departments from time to time on the floor of the House. The panel also asked them to follow the Assurances pertaining to public interest vigorously so that the grievances of the people are redressed well in time.
