Crackdown on negligent doctors, many suspended in Mendhar

Coming hard on the negligent medical staff, Chief Medical Officer Mendhar, has indicted and suspended many medical and para-medical doctors in the border area.Reports reaching GNS said that, after receiving complaints from the locals about the absence of doctors and their lackadaisical approach, Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Dr. Mumtaz Bhatti alongwith Branch Medical Officer, Parwez Ahmad Khan visited Public Health Centre Harni, falling in Mendhar constituency.During the visit the authorities found that the PHC was closed upto afternoon and no employee present at the centre. The CMO directed for immediate suspension of eight doctors including para-medical staff while two other doctors were charge-sheeted. The whole staff was attached to Sub-district hospital Mendhar and new staff deployed at the centre, reports said.

 Rubina Sultana (JSM), Zaheen Akhter  (JSM), Nabeel Fatima (JSM), Tariq Khan (Lab Technician), Saleem Fatima (FMPHW), Abdul Majeed (Sweeper), Parwez Ahmad (NO), Abdul Aziz Shah (Pharmacist) were suspended while as Dr. Om Prakash Sharma alongside Dr. Shakeel Ahmad were charge-sheeted.  The salary of all the accused was with-held, reports added.Flaying the standards, three JSM’s are engaged as against the set quota of one, in the hospital. The authorities attached the two JSMs Rubina Sultana and Zaheena Akhter to SDH Mendhar, reports said.

Meanwhile, in yet another crackdown, BMO Parwez Ahmad Khan made a surprise visit to PHC Dhargloon during which Khalid Abdullah (Lab Technician), Shaneez Akhter (FMPHW) and Mohammad Ashraf (Pharmacist) were suspended while for their absence while as Nasreen Akhter (FMPHW) was suspended and Rubeena Kousar was fined for violating the norms of dress code in sub-centre Basooni.
