G.A. Mir (Former Minister) & President J&K Pradesh Congress CommitteeJammu and Kashmir lead a marathon protest march against the wrong and anti people polices of PDP-BJP Coalition, today from Congress PartyHeadquarters, it started from Congress party Headquarter at 9.30 AM.Congress Party on its April 26th Convention had decided to go for Secretariat Gherao with the aim to press the Govt. for redressing the grievances in respect of Flood Affected people, Traders, Business Community, Employees, unemployed youth, Roll back of Job Policy etc.
Senior Congress Leaders, Legislatures, Office bearers and hundreds of Party workers participated in the march raising Slogan against the polices of Coalition Govt, they protested against the non seriousness of the Coalition Govt. and termed it a bundle of lies, confusing and problematic for the common masses. While leading the march G.A. Mir condemned the attitude of Mufti Govt. for putting in services of whole police force to stop the Congress march at Budshah Bridge, during scuffle with police so many workers got injured. He said Mufti made his entry in Civil Secretariat amid waving of saffron flags it seemed as if the state of affairs of Govt. were run by the BJP,RSS & Bajrangdal Activists.
He (G.A. Mir) lashed out at PDP for misleading the masses under the garb of stopping mission 44+ Mission of BJP, during Elections, and said what they are doing now ,they are enjoying power and dancing on tune of RSS and BJP and has forgotten their slogans and promises made with the people during elections 2014 , what happened to those promises ? he questioned. They could not even fulfill one promise so far and have miserably failed to deliver on all fronts, Flood affected people who had been promised redressal of their grievances, but even after 2 ½ months of formation of government, nothing has been done in their favour, Contractors who have completed the works allotted to them by the Govt. are suffering badly for want of their payments, GPF bills of employees are biting the dust in treasures, unemployment has risen considerably and what the Govt. did, it formulated new recruitment policy which is certainly not going to help the unemployed youth, but will increase the problems for them to a large extent.
While terming this coalition a compulsion and unholy, he (G.A. Mir) said BJP Govt at centre have stopped the funds to State with the aim to press it ( Sate Govt) for implementation of its hidden agenda, which is known to everyone, but Congress will not allow PDP or BJP to play pranks with the people and will not allow it (Coalition) to succeed in its nefarious designs. If they are in power, that is because of People’s Mandate and this mandate should be respected by way of redressal of grievances and working for faster development of people Jammu and Kashmir State .
While terming Congress Party as an instrument of service to the people, he said it (Congress) and is a staunch believer of Secularism and unity among all sections of the Society and their equal development and will always safeguard the people’s interests.Those who participated in the march included Peerzad MOhd Syed, Ex.PCC President & Former Minister, Taj Mohi U Din Former Minister, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar MLA, Gulam Nabi Monga MLC , Mohd Anwar Bhat,Amreen Badre Vice Presidents, Farooq Andrabi, Usman Majeed, Shoiab Nabi Lone,Hilal Ahmad Shah,S.S.Chenni, Nazir Ahmad Khan Shameema Iqbal General Secretaries, Mohd Amin Bhat, Gulzar Ahmad Wani and MLAs and other PCC Office Bearers( District Presidents, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress leaders also participated in the march.
