The Punjab Government and Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) are doing monumental work by not only providing langar to the victims of Nepal earthquake but also providing Tarpaulins, Clothes, milk for children and other necessary items. The injured are given medical aid. The relief teams are also distributing Dry Ration, Clothes and Medicines in the affected areas by going door-to-door.

Stating this, an official spokesperson said that Former Secretary, SGPC, and Mr. Dalmegh Singh Khattra, IAS officer from Punjab Mr. Dilraj Singh Bhunder, Naunihal Singh IPS and Baba Maan Singh Pehowe Wale are overseeing the arrangements at relief camp being set up at Guru Nanak Satsang, Kupandol, Lalitpur. The Punjab Government is also sending more supplies from Chandigarh with the help of Indian Air Force. The camp houses people rendered homeless from the destruction caused by the earthquake in the areas in and around Kathmandu.

According to the spokesperson, 1000 people from affected areas of Sidhupal, Bhimter and Siplakot were provided with dry ration, tarpaulins and medicines. Similarly, 3000 people were given food from langar at the Harinadh camp and over 300 affected were given medicines. Not only this, but the residents of Village Majua, which was totally destroyed, were given blankets and mats. Similarly, the residents of Kirtipur were given dry ration, blankets and mats.
