Father, brother, uncle arrested for raping minor for two years

A 16-year-old girl in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district has alleged that her father, uncle and brother have been raping her for the past two years, police said on Saturday, adding that the trio have been arrested.The shocking incident came to light Thursday when the minor told her school teachers about her ordeal. Following a complaint by the school authorities on Friday, police arrested the trio."We have arrested the father, uncle and the brother of the victim. We are looking for the mother who is absconding," said an officer of Dhupguri police station.The minor is now under the care of the district Child Welfare Committee."The girl had been going through this inhuman torture for over two years. Unable to bear it anymore she told us about the ordeal after which we moved the police," said Saathi Mukherjee, one of her teachers.
