In connection with the arrangements with regard to the arrival of Hajj pilgrims of Jammu and Kashmir State to the Valley after performing their Hajj, the Additional Commissioner Kashmir, s. Salma Hamid convened a meeting of pisional Officers for ensuring adequate arrangements to facilitate their arrival and subsequent smooth journey to their destinations.The meeting was told that the first batch of Hajj pilgrims shall be received at Srinagar International Airport on October 11, 2014.During the deliberations, the Additional Commissioner directed the officers that adequate facilities including providing of accommodation, boarding and lodging, uninterrupted electricity, safe drinking water, sanitation in and around the Hajj House and better transport facilities from Airport to Hajj House and to their destinations should be provided to all Hajj pilgrims at the Airport including for those from Jammu and Ladakh regions.The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Budgam,  Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Director Airport Authority, Joint Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation,  Bashir Ahmad Khan, Joint Director Information, Kashmir,  Shafqat Iqbal, Senior Superintendent of Police Budgam, Hajj Officer Srinagar, representative of Police department and other officers.
