Locals of north Kashmir’s Sopore area Wednesday accused that PHE department has affected their lives at large with the authorities acting as the mute spectators.Locals of Chankan, Khankah-e-Mohalla of Sopore told KNS correspondent that the condition of the roads is worsening every day after due to the half way digging of the roads in the area  by the PHE.Local said that during the year 2013, pipes were laid in the area for the purpose of the water supply. The PHE deteriorated the roads but the residents were assured that the same is being done for their well being. “Even as one year has passed, there is no water and roads remain dug by the PHE.

They have completed the half way and half way is left incomplete  but in the middle of the crises are the people who cannot even walk on the roads,” said Manzoor Ahmad a local resident.Locals also added that they several time approached the PWD department for the repairing of the roads. They shrug their shoulders stating that till PHE completes its work, nothing can be done. “When we approach PHE, they don’t have the infra structure to complete the project now. This is bizarre and injustice as perhaps we didn’t vote during the earlier elections.”  (KNS)
