One person was on Wednesday killed and two policemen were injured when militants fired at a police party in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources. This is the third militant attack in as many days in Pulwama and comes just two days before Independence Day celebration. They said militants fired at a police party at Galander in Pampore in south Kashmir, resulting in death of one person and injuries to two policemen. The injured were rushed to hospital, they said, adding the identity of the deceased was being ascertained. A massive hunt has been launched to nab the gunmen. Eight BSF personnel including an Assistant Commandant were on Monday injured in a militant attack for which Hizbul Mujahideen has claimed responsibility. Meanwhile, on Tuesday a Railway Police head constable was killed near a railway track at Tral in Pulwama.
