Police authorities on Friday placed under suspension a Sub-Inspector of Police for allegedly entering inside house of brother of Ali Mohammad Sagar at Nawab Bazar area here in Srinagar.Official sources told GNS that Duty Officer of Police Post Bagiyas area yesterday had launched drive against drug peddlers in the area.They said as such the drug peddlers saw policemen, they fled from the spot. However, they said, a police team led by In-charge SHO, Bagiyas, chased them. During the drive, they said, the cop carried searches in number of houses including that of brother of Minister for Panchayat Raj Ali Mohammad Sagar.Meanwhile, the Superintendent of Police city north has placed the police officer under suspension, they added.
