Chairman State Level Planning Development and 20 Point Programme Committee Shri Ram Lal Thakur and Chairman State Pollution Control Board Shri Kuldeep Pathania called on senior Congress leader and In-charge Himachal Affairs Smt. Ambika Soni at New Delhi today.It was a courtesy call.While apprising Smt Soni regarding political and socio-economic scenario of the State, Shri Ram Lal Thakur and Shri Kuldeep Pathania said that the State was forging ahead on the path of progress and prosperity under the able leadership of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. 

The leaders informed Smt Soni that the vote share of Congress Party in the recently held Mandi by-election had increased by 8 per cent and the Congress candidate Smt Pratibha Singh won by a margin of over 1.36 lakh votes. They said that people of the State has once again reposed their faith in the policies and programmes of the UPA Government at the Centre as well as in the developmental endeavours of the State Government. They said that the Congress Party would win all the four seats in the Lok Sabha election slated for 2014 under the dynamic leadership of Shri Virbhadra Singh.
