As a part of media-outreach policy of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GOI, Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP), Chandigarh has organized a 7-day Photo Exhibition on ‘Healthy Mother - Healthy Child & Direct Benefit Transfer’ in Chakkwal National Sr.Sec.School, Kurali today. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Kulwinder Singh, Dy.District Education Officer, Mohali.Besides, with a view to promote Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, Chandigarh Regional office of UIDAI, the nodal authority for the Unique authentication process of ‘Aadhar’ will organize an Enrollment camp for providing ‘Aadhar’ Number.
On the occasion, Dr. Kulwinder Singh commended the themes displayed in the exhibition and said that the exhibition would educate the students and people of this sub-urban area regarding maternal & child health care. He said that such kind of awareness is very important especially for the girls’students, which are to play the role of a mother in future. He also termed the ‘Aadhar Enrollment camp’ a useful move for the common man.
Ms. Sapna, Field Exhibition Officer, Chandigarh said that the Government of India has launched many schemes for maternal and child health care like Janani Surakha Yojna, Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram, Child Health Programme, scheme for the adolescent girls, National Immunisation Programme, Family Planning schemes, National Mental Health Programme etc., which have been highlighted in this photo exhibition to make the people aware.She further informed that over 35 photo panels have been displayed in the exhibition depicting various health schemes for safe Motherhood.Sh.J.P.Sharma, Principal , Chakkwal National Sr.Sec.School, Kurali also appreciated the Exhibition & Aadhar Camp.
