The Punjab Government today reappointed 1874 EGS volunteers on the same terms and conditions for the next two years.
Disclosing this here today, Mr. Sikander Singh Maluka, Education Minister said that the SAD-BJP government sympathetically considered the genuine demand put forward by these volunteers and accorded them with two years extension. He said that it was decided in the meeting presided over by the Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal that major education reforms would be rolled-out during 2012-13 session besides constituting a special board to fill all the vacant posts in the Education Department on regular basis.
Mr. Maluka said that the concerned departments have been asked to submit the proposals at the earliest regarding recruitment. He said that it was also arrived at that the due process for recruitment would be initiated and completed in the current academic session.
