Kaul Singh Thakur, Health and Revenue Minister and Sudhir Sharma, Urban Development Minister today said that the investigations in Bemloe Builder Case were still being conducted by Revenue, Forest and Vigilance Departments, so there was no question of giving clean chit in this case. They said that news items which had appeared in a section of press in this regard were totally misleading and not based on facts.

In a joint press statement issued here today, the Ministers said that the evaluation of the land in Bemloe Builder Case had allegedly been assessed at lower rates, which was being investigated. Besides, Forest Department was investigating illicit felling of trees and encroachments on forest land whereas Vigilance Department was separately inquiring into various anomalies in this case. The Government will come to final conclusion only after receiving the investigation reports from all these three departments.

The Ministers said that BJP leaders were over-enthusiastic to take political mileage on incomplete and biased reports on mere speculations. They said that BJP leaders should wait till complete inquiry was over instead of reaching on any conclusion before. The State Government had clarified in the Vidhan Sabha that impartial inquiry would be conducted in this case which was being ensured. They said that Congress had demanded inquiry into this matter during previous BJP Government regime which was overlooked then.

Kaul Singh Thakur and Shri Sudhir Sharma said that a large number of benami land deals took place during the BJP Government which were coming to the fore with the passage of time. They said that people of the State would soon come to know about these benami deals and other irregularities.
