IPH Minister held a review meeting with officials of Shimla Zone

Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh Thakur has directed the officials of the IPH department to achieve the targets within stipulated time. He was presiding over a meeting to review various schemes with officials of Shimla zone of the department here today.He told the officials that if they have any difficulty in achieving the set targets, they should inform him so that prompt action can be taken to overcome them. He said that no negligence will be tolerated in departmental work.The IPH minister also held a detailed discussion with the officials regarding the upcoming projects of the department and also inquired about the progress of 111 minor irrigation schemes under the Prime Minister Krishi Senchai Yojana. He said that a meeting will be held with the officials of Hamirpur zone on August 9 and with officials of Dharamshala zone on August 16 and 17 and in addition to the ongoing various projects in their area, overall progress will also be reviewed. He asked the officers to prepare a detailed report of the progress of departmental schemes keeping in mind the Assembly session starting from August 19 so that information can be made available to MLAs of that area on priority basis.He said that in order meet the targets well in time work should be done on them expeditiously so that the problems related to water and irrigation of the people in the state can be resolved appropriately. In addition to the Chief Engineer of Irrigation and Public Health Department, Chief Engineer of Shimla Zone, all Superintending and Executive Engineers and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
