To mark its 12th Anniversary, Azafran Innovacion Ltd, one of India's leading organic solutions providers, has launched a first of its kind “#SowWaterGrow” initiative towards a greener planet. Known for its philosophy and commitment towards sustainable environment, Azafran has started this campaign from its hometown Ahmedabad, and is planning to plant and maintain more than 20,000 trees in a year.Against every online order placed at Azafran’s own website; (www.azafran.in) or from the company owned kiosk located at Ahmedabad One Mall, Ahmedabad, Azafran will plant a tree tagging the customer's name at a facility located in Ahmedabad. At present, the company has shortlisted Banyan, Neem, Pipal and Asoka trees for plantation. Azafran will also provide the customer with good quality Tulsi organic seeds which they can plant at their house and increase Azafran’s Green Footprint across India.Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Rupesh Mishra, Head-Marketing & International Business, Azafran Innovacion Ltd said, "Human driven and natural deforestation affects the climate, wildlife, eco-systems and even the weather patterns. If we have to preserve our water and skies, all we need to do is plant a quota of seeds regularly. With an aspiration to become an environmentally progressive brand and aligning to a larger vision of sustainability; Azafran; through its green initiative named “#SowWaterGrow” is planting trees and also encouraging others to plant and grow trees."

Elaborating about the company’s sutainability vision and mission, Mr. Rupesh said “We don’t aim to be sustainable, we live it! We are committed to offer products that meet and exceed customer’s expectations without compromise. We strive to drive sustainability through our products, helping you to make better living choices. From Farm to Formulation, our products are made without any compromise on quality fulfilling our commitment to the environment."Rupesh concluded the conversation saying, "We are the first FMCG company in India to launch such green initiative. We have an aspiration of planting more than 20,000 trees in one year. Determined to transform this vision into reality, we have allocated enough land at our facility in Sanand, Ahmedabad; spreading over 75-acres. Not just restricted to tree plantation, we will nurture the trees and update the customer about the progress of the plant. We have a dedicated customer support team and land to this noble cause. With this we aim to create a mass green movement which we believe will help us contribute in reducing pollution and global warming."Azafran is not confined to restrict this initiative at their facility. Moving forward with their green initiative, and aligning towards a larger vision of sustainability, the company will approach AUDA (local civic body) authority to allocate further land for tree plantation. Such trees will also have a tag of the customer’s name and the customer will be updated about the tree's progress. By this way, Azafran is taking a small step to give back to the society and environment helping to increase earth’s green cover.
