Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday led the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in paying tributes to eminent personalities who had passed since the last session of the A Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday led the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in paying tributes to eminent personalities who had passed since the last session of the Assembly.Tributes were also paid by the House to young Fatehveer, who had died after falling in a borewell.Obituary references were made to veteran Congress leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who passed away on July 20 as well as former Rajya Sabha Member Virender Kataria, who was member of Rajya Sabha from 1992 to 1998.Tributes were also paid to other eminent personalities, including ex-MP Kikkar Singh, MP from Bathinda in 1967; for ssembly.Tributes were also paid by the House to young Fatehveer, who had died after falling in a borewell.Obituary references were made to veteran Congress leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who passed away on July 20 as well as former Rajya Sabha Member Virender Kataria, who was member of Rajya Sabha from 1992 to 1998.Tributes were also paid to other eminent personalities, including ex-MP Kikkar Singh, MP from Bathinda in 1967; former Minister Hamir Singh Ghagga, MLA from Shutrana constituency in 1992; former CPS and MLA Chaudhary Nand Lal; ex-Member Punjab Legislative Council Sneh Lata; as well as former MLAs Comrade Balwant Singh, Paramjit Singh and Karnail Singh Dod.Freedom Fighters Gurmej Singh, Kulwant Singh, Isher Singh, Ujagar Singh, Jangir Singh, Santa Singh and Member SGPC Jathedar Lakhvir Singh were also remembered by the House.

Speaker Rana KP Singh proposed that tributes be paid to all those members who had passed away since the previous session. After the obituary references to the eminent personalities, he passed a resolution for conveying the condolences of the House to their respective families. A two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed souls.The Speaker also acceded to the request of MLA Lehragaga Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Sunam MLA Aman Arora and MLA from Atam Nagar, Ludhiana Simarjit Bains to pay homage to two-year old Fatehveer Singh, who died after a fatal fall into a borewell at his native village Bhagwanpura in Sangrur district.On the proposal of Speaker Rana KP Singh, the House unanimously agreed to include the name of Baba Labh Singh, known as Pulan Wale Baba Ji, from Sri Anandpur Sahib in the list of obituary references. Notably, Baba Labh Singh had got nine bridges constructed over the river Sutlej through Kar Sewa.
