Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans on Sunday paid floral tribute to the father of the Indian Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar on his 128th birth anniversary at the district administrative complex here in Moga.Describing Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar as a great scholar, jurist, economist and social reformer, DC Sandeep Hans in his speech exhorted that people should follow the path shown by him.Efforts should be made to carve out an egalitarian society and dedicated efforts should be made to eradicate the petty considerations of caste, creed and colour and secure justice and equality for all sections of the society," said DC Sandeep Hans.Later, DC Sandeep Hans also honoured five students from different Government Schools in Moga with mementoes and dictionaries for their achievements in sports.On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC general) Anita Darshi, ADC Development Rajinder Batra, Assistant Commissioner General Lal Vishwas Bains, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Moga Gurwinder Singh Johal, District Welfare Officer Bikramjit Singh Purewal and District Education Officer (Secondary) Pardeep Sharma were present.
