Under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan, pension benefits have been started for people working in various unorganized sectors wherein the beneficiaries can make small monthly investments for pension gains.Deputy Commissioner Mansa Apneet Riyait stated while distributing cards to beneficiaries registered for this scheme. She said that the pension scheme mainly covered the people working in unorganized sectors such as rickshaw drivers, washer-men, rehri wala, safai sewak, tailor, labor, cobbler, small farmers, domestic workers and others working in shellers, cold stores, MNREGA workers whose income was less than Rs 15000, which means their EPF, NPS, ESIC is not deducted.  She said that maximum number of people should take benefit of the scheme.District Manager (CSC) Common Service Center Mr Sandeep Tayal stated that it is a voluntary pension scheme wherein as per age Rs 55 to Rs 200 per month can be deposited in savings account. The government will contribute sum equal to that the beneficiary has deposited in his or her account.After the age of 60 years, the beneficiary gets Rs 3000 pension per month and in case the beneficiary dies, the surviving spouse gets 50 percent family pensions. The people working in unorganized sectors of age 18 to 44 years, whose monthly income is Rs 15000 or lesser can get their names registered at nearest Common Service Center. All branches of labor officer, LIC branches, ESIC/EPFO branches will act as single window Suvidha Centers for this service.ADC (D) Mr Gurmeet Singh Sidhu, deputy director factories Mr Sukhmandar Singh, assistant PF Commissioner Mr Ashwani Kumar, nodal officer EPFO Mr Rajvir Singh and others were present.
