RCMP, DGP Arora felicitates IG Aulakh, SP Swaran Singh for investigating Jassi murder case

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) British Columbia presented appreciation certificate to IG headquarters Jatinder Singh Aulakh, then SSP Sangrur and Inspector Swaran Singh, now SP, here at Punjab Police headquarters in the presence of DGP Suresh Arora for cracking the murder case of Canadian citizen Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu alias Jassi. RCMP Inspector Dave Chauhen part of this investigation especially came from Surrey, Canada to present this certificate to both the officers.Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of Punjab Police said Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu alias Jassi was murdered near a village in Sangrur district. Jassi’s two close relatives her mother Malkit Kaur and uncle Surjeet Singh conspired to kill her and her beau Sikhwinder Singh @ Sukhi. Both accused has been extradited from Canada by the Punjab police to face prosecution in India. “The professionalism and utmost dedication demonstrated on this investigation was instrumental in ensuring those responsible where brought to justice”, DGP saidWhile presenting the certificate, Canadian police lauded the exemplary work of police officers and expressed appreciation for their outstanding performance and efforts on the homicide investigation of the Canadian citizen Jassi.
