PCCI inks MoU with GCCI for enhanced opportunities for Punjab MSMEs at Vibrant Gujrat Global Summit 2019

Representing Punjab industry at the Vibrant Gujrat Global Summit, 2019, Punjab Chamber of Commerce and Industries, PCCI signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU with Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, GCCI to strengthen ties for promotion and facilitation of trade and commerce between both regions.MoU between PCCI and GCCI was signed by Dalip Sharma, Secretary-General, PCCI and Dr. Jaimin Vasa, President, GCCI in the august presence of Gujarat Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani and Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Giriraj Singh.   Nitin Pangotra, Director General, PCCI,  Meena R. Kaviya, Chairman, textile committee, GCCI were also present on the occasion among others. PCCI represented Punjab industry at the Vibrant Gujrat Global Summit, 2019 to promote Punjab as an Investment Destination and collaborate with participating international Chambers.Dalip Sharma, while sharing the nuances of the MoU said, “The MoU provides for aggressively working with respective counterparts  to promote development of economic relations with specific focus on MSMEs among others by providing a platform for business meetings, discussions and exploration of business opportunities in trade, investments, technology transfer, services, and other sectors.” This shall also enhance people to people interaction which would develop into a mutually beneficial friendship between the two States, added Sharma.In addition, it also aims at create and maintain a continuing exchange of information about economic developments and other matters affecting the business interests of their members as also promote visits of officials of both Organisations from time to time with a view to fostering intense co-operation for improved business relations and rendering better services to their respective members, said Sharma.

Sharing PCCI endeavour  to advance institutional support in promoting and facilitating holistic development of Punjab through engaging stakeholders for improving the general conditions in which businesses operate, to facilitate access to markets within and beyond Punjab and to ensure the availability of human, financial and natural resources, Dalip Sharma, in his address at Global Conclave of International and National Chambers at Vibrant Gujrat Summit presented a very strong case for Punjab and highlighted the immense investment opportunities in Punjab across the spectrum of the economy to the Global audience.The Global Conclave of International and National Chambers was attended by more than 60 international and National trade bodies and business Chambers and Industry captains.Nitin Pangotra, Director General, PCCI, in his presentation at the summit said, “The spirit behind this MoU is to create an economic continuum for seamless interaction between Punjab and Gujrat economy. This MoU shall be instrumental in facilitating trade and commerce between Punjab and Gujrat and bringing both economies closer for profound economic transformation.”PCCI held discussions with various participating international Chambers as well for connecting Punjab economy with the global world for transformation outcomes.Over 42,000 national and international delegates participated in the three-day event. 2019 was the 9th edition of the Vibrant Gujrat Summit.CAPTION:  MoU between PCCI and GCCI signed by Dalip Sharma, Secretary-General, PCCI and Dr. Jaimin Vasa, President, GCCI in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani and Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Giriraj Singh during Vibrant Gujrat Global Summit 2019.
