DDC Ganderbal chairs RAC meeting

District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr Piyush Singla today chaired a meeting of Rent Assessment Committee (RAC) here.During the meeting, DDC held a detailed discussion with officers of different departments functioning from rented accommodations in the district and the owners of these buildings.A total of 8 cases pertaining to different departments operating from private buildings came under discussion.After a detailed deliberation the committee approved 6 cases. The DDC directed the concerned officers to expedite the payment of rents as per the rates approved in the meeting.During the meeting, Dr Singla directed the officers to rationalize and maximize the use of government buildings so that the Government expenditure on rental front can be saved for developmental purposes.Moreover, departments were directed to expedite the process of assessment of rent of long pending cases so that the owners of the building may not suffer.ACR Ganderbal, N.A Malik, Joint Director Planning Ganderbal, Mohammed Yaseen, Superintendent Engineer R&B, District Officers from various departments, and owners of the buildings were also present in the meeting.
