Jai Ram Thakur directs departments for uploading data of progress under all schemes

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has directed all the departments of the state government to upload objective and progress of all the schemes of the state and union government's on 'him pragati' portal by 20 October, 2018. He was presiding over a review meeting of the targets and progress of various schemes, Chief Minister's announcements and employment generation here today.He said that there were more than 21,18,661 beneficiaries of various schemes in the state and the government aims at reaching out to each beneficiary for which their mobile numbers and documents like Aadhar or PAN had been collected.The Chief Minister said that the data of around 10.61 lakh people had been uploaded and directed the departments to upload remaining data at the earliest. He said that government had taken various initiatives which should be implemented in an effective manner by all the departments so that targeted groups could be benefited. He directed the Chief Secretary for regular monitoring of the portal. He added that concerted efforts should be taken to realise the dream of digital India of the Prime Minister by developing an appropriate mechanism.Jai Ram Thakur said that Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, various pension schemes, start-up India, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Ujjawla Yojana and Grihini Suvidha Yojana etc. were proving to be a boon to the people especially weaker section of the society. He stressed that keeping in view the importance of these schemes, the concerned department should give added priority to achieve set targets.It was informed in the meeting that most of the announcements made by the Chief Minister have been fulfilled and the work on remaining announcements was under process. The Chief Minister directed to complete work on remaining announcements by the first week of December.

While reviewing the status of employment generation in the state, the Chief Minister directed the departments to create more employment and self-employment opportunities as the number of unemployed youth were increasing every year. It was informed that around 3.50 lakh people have been given employment in government sector and 8 lakh in private sector. The Transport, Industries and Education departments would make efforts to provide employment and self-employment to maximum youth of the state.Jai Ram Thakur said that the financial assistance up to Rs. 30 lakh could be provided to 770 people for self-employment by spending Rs. 75 crores under Mukhya Mantri Rozgar Yojana. The Industries department has provided employment to 18,000 people on daily wages. Under MNREGA, employment was given to 5,15,728 people by generating 1.37 crore workdays which was 30 percent more than the previous year. He said this year 7532 families had completed the 120 days employment this year so far.Expressing dissatisfaction over the progress on e-mails being sent to various departments by the Chief Minister's office, Jai Ram Thakur asked all the departments to take it seriously and take appropriate action immediately.The Chief Minister expressed concern over the problems being faced by the shepherds trapped in Bara Bhangal area of Kangra district due to untimely snowfall and said that possibilities would be explored to construct a permanent mule road from Chamba to Holi besides developing a suitable place for landing of big helicopter besides promoting the tourism activities. He said that there was no scarcity of ration in the area as ration was being supplied through helicopter to this area.He directed for expansion of Haripurdhar helipad in Sirmour district besides identifying at least three places in each assembly segment for landing of helicopter so that immediate help could be provided in case of any disaster.Chief Secretary B.K. Agarwal assured the Chief Minister that all the targets would be achieved in a stipulated time period.Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi conducted the proceedings of the meeting.Political Advisor to the CM Trilok Jamwal, Administrative Secretaries and head of all the departments and other senior officers of the state government were present in the meeting.
