Governor Acharya Devvrat has appealed the students to refrain from drugs and channelize their energy in constructive activities. He was speaking during “Acharya Ki Pathshala", an interactive programme with students organized by Himachal Dastak newspaper group at Horticulture University, Nauni, today. Students from about 12 government and private schools participated in this programme.He said that at the age of 16, a lot of physical and mental changes takes place in human body and this was the stage where decisions made by an individual makes the difference. He appealed the students to work with dedication, prudence and full sense. He said that parents and teachers were real guide of their pupils and students should give them due respect. Acharya Devvrat said that there many hurdles in life but every time there was solution for problems and we should honestly march ahead with positive thinking.

The Governor asked the students to adopt Indian traditional system of lifestyle besides getting the knowledge of modern science of technology. He advised not to take junk food and chemical products as they were not good for health. He also detailed his social awareness programmes including natural farming.Appreciating the efforts of the Himachal Dastak newspaper group, he said it was a good initiative.Acharya Devvrat also interacted with the students and answered their queries regarding various national and social issues.The Governor honoured the people for their excellent services in their respective fields.Editor, Himachal Dastak Hemant Kumar briefed about various social activities being undertaken by the newspaper for the upliftment of the society. He apprised that the newspaper had been organizing various awareness campaigns from time to time.Vice Chancellor Dr. H.C.Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Solan Vinod Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Shoolini University Prof. P.K.Khosla and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
