Education Minister Punjab O.P.Soni today has warned the SanjhaMorcha Teacher Union leaders sitting on dharna at Patiala to join duty in their respective schools or be ready to face action as by doing so they are spoiling the future of innocent students which is not tolerable.Mr. Soni revealed that the decision of regularizing the services of these teachers, who earlier were under societies being run with funds provided by the Union Government and were always under threat of losing their jobs, was taken after conducting three decisive meetings with these union leaders who are now misguiding other teachers due to their individual interests. He said that these leaders should not spoil the future of the innocent students just to shine their leaderships and if this is their hidden agenda they should join politics rather. Mr. Soni has appealed the teachers not to ruin their own future or that of students by following the line of these few union leaders. 

Punjab Education Minister, who was here to attend District Level Sports Programme, revealed that the state government had earlier regularized 800 teachers working under these societies and they were getting only basic pay. `These newly regularized teachers are getting more salaries than the teachers who had regularized earlier to the tune of Rs. 5000 per month. But rather than thankful to the state government, few teacher union leaders are misguiding all the teachers just for the fulfillment of their individual interests.He further said state government has decided to regularize the services of these teachers keeping in mind their better future and they should welcome this decision with open hearts.Mr. Soni also said that the state government was considering for regularizing the services of S.T.R. A.I.E, E.G.S and I.E.V teachers,working for last many years under SarvSikshaAbhiyan in government schools, in near future. He advised the teachers sit on dharnato join the duty as the school exams are coming closer and they should leave the path of protests keeping in mind the future large number of students.
