Keeping in the view of situation after heavy rain, Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Agrawal directed health department and municipal corporation to take appropriate post rain steps so that water borne disease cannot be spreaded in people.While reviewing the progress of acivities being carried under Mission Tandarust Punjab, Mr. Agrawal directed both departments to make people aware about the measures required to take after rain. He said that it has observed that rain water has been collected in many areas of city as well as other parts of district. Due to this people can be got sick. Mr.Aggarwal directed the health department and municipal corporation officials to take immediate action in this direction to make people aware that in such a situation how to protect themselves.Municipal Corporation officials were asked to make sure that no rain water should remain in any part of the city so that the water does not cause any diseases. 

He said that mission was proved beneficial for making environment people friendly day by day.The transport department was directed to make maximum challan for vehicles violating traffic rules and the report should be submitted to the additional deputy commissioner office time to time. Co-operation and Agriculture department were directed to ensure that straw management machinery is provided to the farmers before the harvesting of upcoming paddy season.During the meeting, the health department officials brought to the attention that the matters relating to the challan for the municipal corporation are not sent to them immediately and proper action is not taken, on which the Deputy Commissioner directed to Municipal Corporation officials that they should ensure appropriate action on each such case immediately.He asked the officers to make this mission more efficient so that people could get maximum benefit from this mission.He instructed the officers to make joint efforts to make this mission successful and to spread awareness amongst the people.
