Additional District Electoral Officer Conducts First Randomization Of Polling Staff

Adhering to the directions of the Punjab State Election Commission for smooth conduct of Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections slated for September 19, the first randomization of the polling staff of government employees was conducted in the presence of Additional District Electoral Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Mansa Gurmeet Singh Sidhu.During the randomization, which was completed through District Information System for Election (DISE) software in the office of National Informatics Center (NIC), places of rehearsal were allotted today.Divulging more details about the randomization, Additional District Electoral Officer Mr. Gurmeet Singh Sidhu said that the duties of the employees have been entrusted upon through the DISE Software in a transparent manner because there is no human intervention in this software. Therefore, question of selective duty of any employee does not arises.

He said that the first rehearsal of the election will be held on September 8 and poll staff of Mansa block will attend rehearsal at Government Nehru Memorial College, Mansa, for Budhlada block rehearsal place is Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Budhlada, Grain Market Bhikhi is for Bhikhi block, Grain Market Mansa for Jhunir block and Sardar Balraj Singh Bhunder Government Memorial College, Sardulgarh will be rehearsal place for the polling staff of Sardulgarh block. He said that government employees engaged in polling duty have been asked to arrive on time for rehearsals.Sidhu said that the second Randomization will be held on September 12, in which polling staff will be informed about their duty related panchayat samiti blocks. Technical Assistance for first randomization will be provided by District Information Officer Mr. Chandarjit Saini, he said.
