DC Kargil reviews functioning of District Red Cross Society

Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Vikas Kundal called for organizing Red Cross Awareness camp in district Kargil to aware general masses about the importance and role of the Red Cross in saving crucial lives during disaster like situations besides to train more and more volunteers in disaster response. He also asked the concerned to accelerate their activities and ensure improvement in targets and adding that more involvement of Red Cross in securing health objective for the people.Chairing a meeting convened to review functioning of District Red Cross Society (DRCS) Kargil, the DC underscored the need for close coordination between volunteers, SDRF and police so that such prestigious institutions can tackle any eventuality.During the meeting, discussion was held on rationalization of receipts and disbursement of Red Cross funds, financial resources and their utilization, junior Red Cross funds, volunteer contribution, Red Cross activities, adoption of annual accounts and training of volunteer.The DC asked the concerned to constitute Auction and Purchase Committees.The meeting was attended by the Superintendent of Police Kargil, Dr Vinod Kumar, Chief Medical Officer, Ibrahim Khan, Chief Education Officer, Mohd Mussa, Assistant Director Information Abdul Ahad Bhat, Accounts Officer, Hitesh K Choudhry, Dealing Assistant, District Red Cross Committee and other concerned officers.
