Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today said that government is committed to ensuring holistic development in the Kashmir Division.He made these remarks while directing all Deputy Commissioners of the valley and Leh and Kargil districts through video conferencing to send a weekly report about the developmental works and other government-related functioning in their respective districts to the Divisional Commissioner’s office.In the weekly report, He directed all DCs to send the complete information about general law & order situation, progress of PMDP and Swachh Bharat Mission projects, Land Acquisition of various mega projects, Public hearing, RTI & Public Service Guarantee Act, Inspection of offices to check attendance through Biometric System, Position of essential commodities, Electricity issues, Health issues, Functioning of Schools/educational institutions and other relevant issues to the Divisional Commissioner’s office for monitoring purposes and removal of all bottlenecks immediately for the benefit of the people.Khan asked DCs to hold regular Public Durbars in every ward of their respective districts. “Prepare a calendar for it and publicize the dates in the media so that a maximum number of people participate in it to redress their grievances,” he told the DCs.For timely completion of developmental projects, Div Com directed all DCs to inspect all projects personally and monitor those works on weekly bases so that all bottlenecks are cleared immediately.
